A pass student shall offer one pass subject of 400 marks in addition to compulsory and elective papers. Each student shall offer two elective subjects. Each elective subject shall consist of two papers each carrying 100 marks. Subject with practical component shall have 75% theory and 25% practical.

A candidate in B.A. (Hons.) shall offer a Hons. Subject carrying 800 marks and two elective subjects besides compulsory subjects. Each elective subject shall consist of two papers each carrying 100 marks. Subject with practical component shall have 75% theory and 25% practical.
A candidate (Hons. or Pass) shall choose two elective subjects, each carrying 200 marks (without any practical components) from among the following subjects or other subjects that may be the University according to suitability.
Provided that a student (Hons. or Pass) offering Political Science, Economics, History, as one or more pass or Honours subject (S0 shall not be allowed to take Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Land Marks in Indian History respectively as his/her elective paper (S) respectively.
In +3 Arts Pass subject (S) with practical and carrying 400 marks following distribution of marks shall be made.
Paper I=75(Theory), paper II=75(Theory), Paper III=50(Practical), Paper IV=75 (Theory), Paper V=75(Theory) and Paper VI =50(Practical), and the distribution of the papers shall be made accordingly so as to confirm the year-wise mark distribution as envisaged in the regulation 7.1.
Elective subjects shall not carry any practical component.
A candidate shall be allowed to offer any one of the following M.I.L.s.
Oriya, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu and Urdu, provided that a candidate shall be allowed to offer alternative English in lieu of M.I.L.
