The staff and students of this college and other persons specially permitted by
the Principal may use the library. The following are some of the library rules
for guidance of all.
The College Library remains open from 10-00 a.m. to 4 p.m. on all working
days of the college. Issue and return of books will be made from 10-30 a.m. to
3.00 p.m. . The library remains closed on Sundays and authorized holidays.
No books shall be taken out of the library without the knowledge of the
Librarian until it has been entered in the Library Card and Issue Register and
the entry has been attested by the borrower.
Every borrower must examine the condition of the books before they are issued.
Otherwise in case of mutilation discovered later, allegation will be made
against the borrower.
The maximum number of books that may be
issued to the various classes are given below.

Books shall be returned within a period of 15 days failing which the student borrowers have to pay a fine of Re 0.50 praise per each day of delay.
A borrower against whom any over due or other charge is outstanding shall not be allowed to borrow books from the library.
Text and Reference books belonging to other departments shall not be issued to any member of the staff without the special permission (written) of the Head of the Department of the subject concerned. Map, University calendar, Current issue of periodicals, courses of studies and reserved books shall not be issued for use at home without the special permission of the Principal.
All the library articles should be returned by the borrowers before the summer vacation and also as and when the librarian needs.
Any book lost damaged or defaced by a borrower must be replaced by him. If the book is one of a set of a series and the volume cannot be obtained single, the whole set of series must be replaced at the reader's cost or the borrower shall deposit three times the cot of the book (Vide D.H.E.'s letter No. 2G-29-86 C245546/Dtd. 18-01-86)
Spitting smoking or sleeping in the library is forbidden.
Strict silence is to be observed in the library.
A person who takes books from the library is supposed to have read the library rules and to have agreed to abide by them. Ignorance of library rules is of no excuse for the violation of any of them.
