N.C.C. the premier youth organization of India was established in 1948 with the aim to develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and ideal of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizen. It also aims at creating human resources of organized, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the armed forces.
The College has an N.C.C. sub-unit (Army wing) with authorized strength of 90-cadets and one officer. Medically fit bonafide male/female students of the College who satisfy required standard of physical fitness can be enrolled in N.C.C. through a process of selection.
Training:- Prescribed syllabus for every year is covered in 120 periods divided into 20 or 40 parades. Parades are conducted on Sundays or some other day/days as fixed by the N.C.C. Battalion. Besides, training is also imparted to the cadets at various camps like Annual Training Camp, Army Attachment Camp, Trekking Camp, Republic Day Camp, Basic Leadership Camp and National Integration Camp etc.
Cadets found to be irregular or insincere or indisciplined in the Camp are dismissed from N.C.C.
